Complete Gajendra Moksha Prayer

Gajendra Moksha Prayer

                   🪔 Gajendra Moksha Stotra - Complete Prayer 🪔

💥Introduction

🪷The Gajendra Moksha Prayer is a powerful devotional hymn expressing complete surrender to the

      Supreme. It reflects faith, humility, and the hope for liberation in times of deep suffering

🪔 Starting:

🪷 Shri Shuk deva Said 🪷

Thus, resolved with firm determination,
fixing his mind in deep meditation,
he chanted the supreme mantra
which he had learned in a previous birth. ॥ 1 ॥

🌺 Gajendra Said 🌺

💥 Om, I bow to that Supreme Being
from whom this conscious creation arises.
I meditate upon that primal Person,
the original seed, the Supreme Lord. ॥ 2 ॥

💥 In whom this universe exists,
from whom it is born,
by whom it is sustained,
and who exists beyond all -
to that self-born Supreme I surrender. ॥ 3 ॥

💥 He who places this world within Himself by His own power,
sometimes manifest, sometimes hidden,
unseen yet witnessing all -
may that Supreme Self protect me. ॥ 4 ॥

💥 When time dissolves all worlds, rulers, and causes,
darkness alone remains, deep and unfathomable;
yet He shines beyond that darkness -
that all-pervading One. ॥ 5 ॥

💥 Neither gods nor sages know His supreme position,
nor can any being fully describe Him.
Like an actor assuming many forms,
His ways are beyond comprehension -
may He protect me. ॥ 6 ॥

💥 Sages free from attachment seek His auspicious feet,
wandering in forests, observing sacred vows,
seeing all beings as their own Self -
He alone is my refuge. ॥ 7 ॥

💥 He has no birth, no action,
no name or form, no virtue or fault;
yet for creation and dissolution of worlds
He accepts these through His own power. ॥ 8 ॥

💥 Salutations to that Supreme Lord,
of infinite power,
formless yet of countless forms,
whose deeds are wondrous. ॥ 9 ॥

💥 Salutations to the inner light of all,
the eternal witness, the Supreme Self;
beyond speech and beyond mind. ॥ 10 ॥

💥 Attained through purity and wisdom,
beyond action,
salutations to the Lord of liberation,
the consciousness of supreme peace. ॥ 11 ॥

💥 Salutations to the peaceful and the fearsome,
the unmanifest and the manifest,
beyond distinctions, equal to all,
the embodiment of pure knowledge. ॥ 12 ॥

💥 Salutations to the knower of the field,
the witness of all, the Supreme Ruler,
the primal Person, the source of nature itself. ॥ 13 ॥

💥 Salutations to Him who sees all senses and qualities,
the cause of all perceptions,
appearing as reality beyond illusion. ॥ 14 ॥

💥 Salutations again and again
to the cause of all causes,
beyond cause yet the origin of all,
the ocean of sacred wisdom,
the ultimate refuge. ॥ 15 ॥

💥 Covered by qualities yet pure consciousness,
whose mind creates cosmic vibration,
beyond action and scripture,
self-luminous - I bow to Him. ॥ 16 ॥

💥 Salutations to Him who liberates bound souls like me,
who is free, infinitely compassionate,
who dwells within all beings,
the Supreme Lord, the inner witness. ॥ 17 ॥

💥 Bound by family, wealth, and attachment,
difficult to attain for the deluded,
yet realized in the hearts of the liberated -
salutations to that Supreme Ruler of wisdom. ॥ 18 ॥

💥 Those who seek duty, desire, liberation,
worship Him and attain their goal;
yet I seek not blessings or an imperishable body,
only release from this bondage. ॥ 19 ॥

💥 His devoted ones desire nothing else,
fully surrendered to Him;
they sing His wondrous, auspicious deeds,
immersed in an ocean of bliss. ॥ 20 ॥

💥 That imperishable, supreme reality,
unmanifest yet realized through inner yoga,
beyond senses, subtle and infinite,
the original and complete — I praise Him. ॥ 21 ॥

💥 From Him arise Brahma and all beings,
the scriptures, worlds, and moving and unmoving life,
through names, forms, and portions of His power. ॥ 22 ॥

💥 As sparks emerge from fire
and rays from the sun repeatedly,
so from Him flow qualities, intellect, mind,
senses, and bodies. ॥ 23 ॥

💥 He is neither god nor demon nor mortal nor beast,
neither woman nor man nor any being;
neither quality nor action, neither real nor unreal -
victory to that infinite remainder beyond denial. ॥ 24 ॥

💥 I seek neither life here nor beyond,
nor escape from inner or outer fears;
I desire liberation from the covering of the Self
that time itself cannot destroy. ॥ 25 ॥

💥 I bow to that unborn Supreme,
the creator of all, the knower of all,
the Self of the universe,
the highest state of existence. ॥ 26 ॥

💥 Those whose actions are purified by yoga,
who behold Him within the heart -
to that Lord of Yoga I bow. ॥ 27 ॥

💥 Salutations to You of irresistible force,
of threefold power, the source of all wisdom,
protector of the surrendered,
whose path is beyond the reach of senses. ॥ 28 ॥

💥 Bound by ego and power,
the soul does not know its own nature;
to that Lord of immeasurable glory
I offer my obeisance. ॥ 29 ॥

🌻 Shri Shuka deva Said 🌻

💥 Thus praised by Gajendra in essence beyond form,
even Brahma and others, bound by limited identities,
could not fully approach Him;
then the all-pervading Lord appeared. ॥ 30 ॥

💥 Hearing the stotra and perceiving Gajendra’s distress,
the Lord of the universe arrived swiftly,
praised by celestial beings,
borne by Garuda, wielding the discus. ॥ 31 ॥

💥 Seized by immense strength within the lake,
seeing the Lord upon Garuda with raised discus,
Gajendra lifted a lotus with trembling voice and said -
“O Narayana, Supreme Guide, salutations to You.” ॥ 32 ॥

💥 Seeing him tormented, the unborn Lord descended at once,
rescued him from the waters with compassion,
tore apart the crocodile’s jaws,
and liberated Gajendra before all. ॥ 33 ॥
