In Hinduism, 18 Puranas (major sacred texts) were written by Sage Ved Vyasa.

Among them, the Bhagavat Purana is called the supreme scripture directly by the Lord’s own words. 🌺

The 18 Puranas 🌸

  1. Brahma Purana – Contains 10,000 shlokas, describing Brahma and the creation of the universe. 🌼

  2. Vishnu Purana – Contains 23,000 shlokas, describing Vishnu’s incarnations and creation stories. 🌸

  3. Vayu Purana – Contains 24,600 shlokas, describing Lord Vayu and the history of creation. 🌿

  4. Linga Purana – Contains 11,000 shlokas, describing the Shiva Linga and its worship. 🌸

  5. Padma Purana – Contains 55,000 shlokas, describing Lord Vishnu and various Devi stories. 🌼

🌿Sattvik (pure / divine): Vishnu, Narada, Garuda, Padma, Varaha, Bhagavat 🌼

Among the Sattvik Puranas, the glory of Shri Hari is especially described.
Thus, Bhagavat Purana is considered the supreme Purana. 🌸

All its shlokas are dedicated to Lord Shri Hari.
It is regarded as the very form of God.
