🌸 King Gadhi was the son of King Kusha, who was the son of Prajapati.
From King Gadhi’s lineage came King Vishwamitra. 🌼
2 From King to Sage Vishwamitra 💮
The Righteous King 🌸
🌸 Vishwamitra was initially a king, known for his righteousness and care for his people.
Once, he went on a hunting trip with his soldiers in the forest. 🌷
3 Visiting Sage Vashishta’s Ashram 🌸
The Divine Cow, Kamadhenu 🌼
🌸 There, they reached the ashram of Sage Vashishta, who welcomed them with fruits, flowers, water, and food.
Kamadhenu, the wish-fulfilling cow, provided abundant nourishment for all. 💮
4 Vishwamitra’s Desire for Kamadhenu 🌸
Attempt to Take Her by Force 🌷
🌸 Amazed by Kamadhenu, King Vishwamitra demanded the cow.
Vashishta refused, but the king tried to take her by force. Suddenly, millions of divine soldiers emerged from the cow, forcing him and his army to flee. 🌼
5 From King to Sage 🌸
Renouncing the Throne 🌷
🌸 Vishwamitra realized that being a king was not the ultimate power.
True power lies in Brahma-shakti (spiritual energy). He gave up his kingdom to pursue penance. 💮
6 Penance Interrupted Twice 🌸
First by Menaka, the Apsara 🌷
🌸 During his first penance, Indra sent Menaka, awakening desire in Vishwamitra.
Once aware, he resumed penance. 🌼
7 Second Interruption – Anger 🌸
Vashishta’s Sons Killed 🌷
🌸 On the second attempt, anger arose, causing him to kill Vashishta’s hundred sons.
Yet, Vashishta remained silent. Vishwamitra repented deeply for his mistakes. 💮
8 Blessing from Brahma 🌸
Third Penance Success 🌷
🌸 Deep in meditation during his third penance, Vishwamitra pleased Brahma.
He asked for the title of Brahmarishi, granted by Vashishta himself. 🌼
9 Vashishta’s Recognition of His Penance 🌸
Placed Among the Saptarishis 🌷
🌸 Vashishta acknowledged Vishwamitra’s mastery over desire and anger.
He awarded him the Brahmarishi title, embraced him, and praised his devotion, placing him among the seven great sages. 💮
10 Vishwamitra’s Greatness and Benevolence 🌸
Spiritual and Social Contributions 🌷
🌸 Through his austerities and Gayatri mantra, Vishwamitra became revered worldwide.
He brought Rama and Lakshmana to King Dasharatha, educated them, arranged Rama’s marriage with Sita in Mithila, and guided the slaying of Ravana. 🌼
11 A Life of Selflessness and Penance 🌸
Vishwamitra Among Saptarishis 🌷
🌸 The great sage spent his life in penance and service to humanity.
Even today, he is remembered and worshiped as one of the Saptarishis, ever close to the divine. 💮
