This ancient ritual is observed on this day. In the evening, the deity is seated on a swing, the swing is gently moved, the deity is adored, and a single meal is taken.

🪔 Vratdwayi Purnima [Phalgun Purnima]

On Phalgun Shukla Purnima, Aryama [Aditya] was born from Sage Kashyap and Aditi, and Chandra (Moon) was born from Anusuya.
Therefore, at sunrise, worship Aditya and at moonrise, worship Chandra properly with rituals, singing, music, and dance. Only one meal is taken on this day.

💥 Phalguni [Purvaphalguni] Purnima

If Phalgun Shukla Purnima falls during the Purvaphalguni Nakshatra, donate a well-prepared bed with mattress, quilt, bedsheet, pillow, etc., to a learned Brahmin.

💥By doing this, one attains a beautiful wife if performed by a man.

💥If a woman does this donation, she receives a wealthy, learned, and respectable husband.

🙏🏿 Ashok Vrat [Phalgun Purnima]

On Phalgun Shukla Purnima, bathe with soil, apply soil on the forehead, and even eat some soil. Then create a sacred altar on the ground and worship the deity named Bhudhar.
Pray using the mantra: "Bhoodharaye Namah".
Performing this fast removes all obstacles and ensures prosperity for ten generations.

💥 Lakshmi Narayan Vrat [Phalgun Purnima]

From morning till evening, stay away from deceitful, hypocritical, foolish, sinful, cunning, adulterous, greedy, addicted, false-speaking, irreverent, or hostile people.
Remember God in your mind and perform early morning puja with devotion.
At moonrise, meditate on Lakshmi Narayan on the moon's reflection and offer your worship.

Offer water with this mantra and have one meal at night without oil.
According to Garg Samhita, performing this fast at Naimisharanya is prescribed.

This occurs on Phalgun Shukla Purnima and is associated with Holika Dahan (burning of Holika).

🪔 Holika Dahan Story:

Long ago, there was a powerful and arrogant king named Hiranyakashipu. His son Prahlad was a devoted follower of Lord Vishnu. Hiranyakashipu tried several times to kill Prahlad, but divine grace always protected him.
Hiranyakashipu’s sister Holika had a boon that she could not be burned by fire. The king plotted to kill Prahlad using her. Holika sat on a fire holding Prahlad in her lap, but by divine grace, Prahlad remained unharmed, and Holika was burnt to ashes.
This is why Holika Dahan is celebrated every year. It teaches that devotion and righteousness are stronger than evil, and goodness always triumphs over evil.

Thus, the fasts and rituals of Phalgun Purnima, including Holika Dahan, are performed according to individual wishes, though only some fasts are commonly discussed.
