🧞1. Manu Smriti

King Manu and his dharma scripture, the Manusmriti, hold a special place in Sanatan Dharma.

Among all Smritis, Manu Smriti is considered supreme.

The scripture written by King Manu is called the Manu Smriti.

💥2. Atri Smriti

The great sage Atri is a seer of Vedic mantras.

He is a spiritual son of Brahma, counted among the seven great sages.

His wife, Anusuya, daughter of Sage Kardam, is an ideal example of a devoted woman.

Sage Atri authored the Atri Smriti.

🪷3. Vishnu Smriti

The teachings given by Lord Vishnu to the Earth (Dhara Devi) are known as the Vaishnav Dharma Shastra.

These teachings are in the form of sutras and shlokas.

Like the Bhagavad Gita, it is called the divine words of the Lord and contains 100 chapters.

☘️4. Harit Smriti

Sage Harit was a devoted Vaishnav follower.

In the Mahabharata, his teachings are also recorded as the Harit Gita.

Sage Harit was a devoted worshiper of Lord Vishnu and authored the Harit Smriti.

🌹5. Yama Smriti

The king of dharma, Yama, is the son of the Sun and the goddess Sanjna.

He is the witness of all beings’ actions and is called Dharma Raj because of his role in justice.

He gives rewards and punishments according to karma, purifies souls, guides them on the Lord’s path, and explains the importance of chanting the Lord’s name.

The scripture written by him is called the Yama Smriti.

🪻6. Yajnavalkya Smriti

Sage Yajnavalkya was a great yogi, scholar, and teacher of dharma.

He holds a very important place among Smriti authors.

The Yajnavalkya Smriti explains conduct, behavior, and the path of penance.

It contains three chapters under his name.

🌻7. Angira Smriti

Sage Angira is a son of Brahma.

His wife, Shraddha, is his devoted partner.

His sons are Brihaspati, Utthya, and Sanvart, and daughters are Sinevali, Kuhu, Raka, and Anumati.

Sage Angira authored the Atharvaveda, which is why he is also called Atharva.

He is counted among the seven great sages and wrote the Angira Smriti.

🌺8. Shanaishchara Smriti

Shani (Saturn) is the son of the Sun.

Sage Shri Nabha Das mentions him among dharma scholars.

He authored the Shanaishchara Smriti.

🏵️9. Sanvart Smriti

Sage Sanvart is the son of Sage Angira and younger brother of Brihaspati, the teacher of gods.

He was a great devotee of Shiva, a devoted worshiper of Gayatri, a seer of mantras, and the guru of sages like Vamdev and Markandeya.

The Sanvart Smriti contains his teachings on dharma, penance, Gayatri chanting, and charity.
