Devotee Ali Bhagwan: From Separation in Rama's Love to the Divine Rasa Vision of Vrindavan

Devotee Ali Bhagwan receiving a divine vision of Lord Krishna's Rasa Lila in Vrindavan after intense devotion to Lord Rama.

🌼 The Inspiring Story of Devotee Ali Bhagwan

According to Bhaktamal, this incident is believed to have taken place around the year 1650 CE. Devotee Ali Bhagwan was a deeply devoted follower of Lord Raghavendra (Lord Rama).

🎭 Overwhelmed During the Ramleela

One day, he was watching a traditional performance of the Ramleela. When the heartbreaking episode of Lord Rama's exile to the forest was enacted, he could no longer control his emotions.

Crying out,

"O Rama! O Raghunath!"

he began to weep uncontrollably.

Many people tried to console him, but nothing could bring him peace. Days passed in this state of separation and grief, and his body became weak and exhausted.

🙏 Meeting a Saint

By the grace of God, he eventually met a saint. Seeing his condition, the saint immediately understood the pain within his heart.

Ali Bhagwan shared his entire sorrow with him.

The saint then asked:

"Have you ever visited Vrindavan?"

When he replied, "No," the saint took him to the sacred land of Vrindavan.

🌿 Divine Vision in Vrindavan

In Vrindavan, the saint showed him an enactment of Lord Krishna's divine Rasa Lila.

Recognizing him as a worthy devotee, Lord Krishna granted him a divine vision of His eternal pastimes.

The very moment he beheld the Lord, his pain of separation disappeared, and his heart was filled with new joy and enthusiasm.

💖 A Beautiful Resolution

Ali Bhagwan decided that he would remain in Vrindavan and dedicate his life to the service of Lord Rasbihari (Krishna).

However, he soon remembered that his spiritual master had entrusted him with the service of Lord Sita-Rama.

He wondered:

"Would it be an offense to abandon the service of Sita-Rama and devote myself solely to Rasbihari?"

Finally, he arrived at a profound realization:

"I shall continue serving Lord Sita-Rama, while seeing Lord Rasbihari as the very same Supreme Lord."

Thus, even while serving Lord Rasbihari, his exclusive devotion to Lord Sita-Rama remained unchanged.

📜 Priyadas Ji's Description

Ali Bhagwan, steadfast in the service of Lord Rama, came to Vrindavan and discovered a new way of divine devotion.

Witnessing the Rasa Mandala of Lord Krishna, the thirst of his eyes and heart was finally satisfied.

The service of Lord Rasbihari became dear to him, yet he never forgot the teachings of his Guru.

Bowing at the Lord's feet, he found supreme joy and spiritual fulfillment.

🌺 Spiritual Lesson

A true devotee sees no difference between Lord Rama and Lord Krishna. The Supreme Lord is one; only His divine forms and pastimes appear different.

May this inspiring story deepen our devotion and strengthen our faith in the Lord's infinite grace. 🙏
